Mercedes-Benz me. Just another connected app? Or useful options for my Mercedes-Benz at my fingertips?
The Beverly Exchange has decided to dive into the Mercedes-Benz app called me. Dubbed as the ultimate resource for Mercedes-Benz owners, it promotes to deliver World-class service and individual attention. Here at Beverly Coachcraft, we easily set up, utilized our subscription, used all of the features over 4 weeks, and we have to say, it is a valuable technology for modern Mercedes-Benz vehicle owners. Let’s break down our experience:
New Technology with a familiar platform
Mercedes me is Powered by mbrace, and Mercedes me Connect allows drivers to utilize many of their free mbrace Connect features, including Remote Start, Lock/Unlock, Send2Benz, and Vehicle Monitoring – all from the Mercedes me app. To take advantage of mbrace, or to subscribe so you can take advantage of the me app, be sure to click here.
Useful features galore!
Homepage and app features – As soon as you log into the app, you are welcomed by a photo of your model of Mercedes-Benz that is registered. You can even customize the name of your vehicle such as “Dream Car”. We like that. You know, personalization equals comfort, right? From there you see the most utilized features of the app such as Remote Start, Lock and Unlock, and Send2Benz.
Remote start – To us, this is extremely valuable. First off, it will only operate if your doors are already locked, and if you have at least 5 gallons of gas in the tank, but if you are clear of those items, you can remotely start your vehicle to include setting the interior temperature to your needs. Don’t want to get into a hot car? Dread that cold interior in the winter? Manage it with the me app!
Lock or unlock – We guess if you lose your key for some reason, the me app allows you to lock/unlock right from your phone.
Send2Benz – This is a nice addition to the app. Search anytime for locations such as gas stations, restaurants, coffee, even Mercedes-Benz dealers via the me app. A couple of taps and it will send the destination to your vehicle to allow navigation to guide you there. The gas stations and restaurants have been welcoming locations; however, the coffee stops are everything except for your local Starbucks.
Locate Vehicle and Speed Alerts – Cool features if you valet your vehicle, or drop it off for service, or allow your teenager to drive to their friend’s house to play Fortnite. The feature will always give you a real-time location and if your Mercedes-Benz has exceeded a speed you set within the app.
Partner Hotels – A nice feature that provides you exclusive benefits at some of the finest resorts in America. Typically, these are amenity benefits such as spa certificates, free upgrades once booked, resort credits, etc. Not bad for being a Mercedes-Benz owner!
The Connect icon – This opens up the Vehicle Monitoring section. This allows you to track the activity of your Mercedes-Benz from anywhere in the world. Some of our favorites include creating a driving journal that tracks the driving activity for up to 24 hours, including setting a valet virtual boundary in case they decide to joy ride.
The Assist icon – Provides you one-button access to your local Mercedes-Benz dealers, roadside assistance, schedule service options, and even assistance if you are involved in a minor accident. All terrific assist features, however, please do not forget that you as the owner are the final decision maker in deciding where your vehicle gets towed to. Please make sure you are being towed to the destination of your choice.
Your selected Mercedes-Benz dealer also shows up on this screen, along with the names of their product concierge and tech expert, again, nice touch with the personalization.
Finally, the Finance icon provides you a direct window to Mercedes-Benz Financial if you’ve leased or financed your Mercedes-Benz with them. It also tracks how many payments remain, due date and total due, and the date when the contract is completed.

Mercedes-Benz, we commend you. The me application consolidates features that owners can take advantage of, and all at their fingertips. They’ve also hit all the right categories with personalization, safety, security, peace of mind, recommendations, lifestyle, and connectivity. We feel that as long as the application continues to be updated and supported, as well as having in dealer experts to introduce to new and current owners, the me application will be an added value to the ownership of a late model Mercedes-Benz.
