THE BEVERLY EXCHANGE  – RACER AND MERCEDES-BENZ OWNER STEPHANIE CEMO STOPS BY FOR A VISIT

Welcome to the first edition of The Beverly Exchange, a monthly series with guests that have come in to visit us and meet our staff, tour our facility, and get a behind the scenes experience to see firsthand the quality and craftsmanship that is the Beverly CoachCraft way! This month we had the pleasure to speak with racecar driver Stephanie Cemo!

Stephanie currently races in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series with the Wayne Taylor Racing team co-piloting the Prestige Performance #43 with Ashton Harrison (LB Cup). Since she was a little girl, the love of motorsports has been in her blood. This led Stephanie to involve herself in all racing to include drag racing, Global Time Attack, Redline Time Attack, SCCA GT2, NASA ST1, and Trans Am TA3. Did we mention she also is a driving instructor? Whew!

During her visit with us, we were pleased to see Stephanie pull up in her Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R. This is her new baby that provides exhilarating transportation for her and her French Bulldog, Captain Jack. Thank you, Stephanie, for visiting us and give her and Captain Jack a follow on Instagram to travel alongside their journeys!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?

My first car was a Ford Mustang convertible. Biggest pile on the planet! Was an ’86 LX convertible. I literally broke everything on the car! Motor mounts, brakes, you name it, it broke.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF DRIVING IN BEVERLY HILLS?

I think my favorite part about driving in Beverly Hills is the vibe. The energy that you feel here. It is always so alive here!

AND DARE WE ASK, THE WORST?

Let’s be honest, the traffic is the worst part about driving in Beverly Hills.

WOULD YOU RATHER BE DRIVING OR RIDING SHOTGUN?

Oh, I’d rather be driving. I’m not a very good passenger!

FAVORITE CAR TV SHOW, PAST OR PRESENT?

Speed Racer! I just love the animation and how it was presented in such a dramatic way. I’m surprised they haven’t brought it back!

WHAT IS THE SINGLE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR FIRST CAR AND YOUR CAR TODAY?

Wow, the cars are so different. I would say the price! Responsiveness and power are also things that immediately jump out as big differences.

THANKS FOR STOPPING INTO BEVERLY COACHCRAFT TODAY. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR INITIAL IMPRESSIONS.

I was pretty blown away by the facility as a whole. The amount of real estate that they have and the amount of technology that it takes to repair cars the right way was impressive. The organization and the cleanliness of the shop also stood out. The technicians and equipment are truly cutting edge. The number of cars being worked on, how they get all of this done is pretty remarkable! Hopefully, I don’t have any situations with my GT R, but I definitely have comfort knowing now I have a place to go if something does happen.

WHEN SOMEONE ASKS IF THEY CAN PICK YOU UP A COFFEE, YOU TELL THEM…?

Yes! Iced coffee with heavy cream, #KetoDiet, or Almond milk latte. #Keto

TRACTION AND STABILITY CONTROL, LANE ASSIST, EMERGENCY AUTO BRAKING. ARE ALL OF THESE GOOD THINGS FOR CARS?

I think they are an absolute nuisance for me, but for a new driver or someone who doesn’t have track experience, they are potential lifesavers as long as they don’t malfunction.

GONE IN 60 SECONDS ELEANOR, OR KITT FROM KNIGHT RIDER?

Eleanor, hands down!

GRAN TURISMO, FORZA, OR MARIO KART?

I’d say Forza. I’m not really big on the video games, however, I did just build a simulator and I’m using it to become a better driver as the realism in Forza can really help me with tracks I haven’t raced on yet.

SPEAKING OF MARIO KART, HAVE YOU EVER HAD TO HAVE A VEHICLE REPAIRED AFTER A BANANA PEEL ACCIDENT? HOW WAS THAT EXPERIENCE

Yea I’ve unfortunately had to have a few vehicles repaired after an accident. Most recently my dually was hit. I can say none of the times was the experience fantastic. Just hoping to get the car fixed and working the way it was before the accident is the goal, but unfortunately, sometimes that falls short.

YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE MERCEDES-BENZ FOR A LONG WEEKEND. READY, SET, GO!

I would have to say the SLS AMG. They are so insane! I once called on one that was for sale and didn’t know they were that valuable!

ANYTHING ELSE TO TELL OUR FOLLOWERS ABOUT YOUR VISIT TODAY?

Honestly, I would just say that it is very important to choose the right place to have your vehicle repaired if it means anything to you. Taking the time out to come and visit Beverly CoachCraft, I think you will be sold as soon as you walk in the door and meet the people behind it.
